| the person of possible Oriental descent was or if he really existed? It was mentioned in the book, "Bloody Sunset" as a person who drove a volkswagen and told BO Brunson that a woman had fallen through a window? |

At the time there was speculation that the man somehow was connected to Geraldine Horton, Athalia's sister, who lived in Honolulu, Hawaii - but in my attempts to pursue any connection with the rumorers and speculators it was simply the connection of "Oriental features" and "Hawaii."
Later, when Jim "Jinx" Lindsley, Athalia's widower, and Geraldine became good friends after a bitter fight and litigation over Athalia's will between them (explained on this website), the rumors and speculation arose again that somehow Geraldine and Jinx had plotted to kill Athalia, and that Geraldine had sent the "Oriental" man from Hawaii as a hit man!
Neither "story" has had any shred of evidence attached, nor has there been any ID or further eyewitness sightings.
BUT, as many wonder, what a detailed and bizarre tale to just make up out of whole cloth! |
